CogniFlow's voice features make the assessment experience more natural and efficient. Learn how to use text-to-speech and speech-to-text capabilities.
Voice Capabilities
Text-to-Speech (TTS)
Questions are read aloud by an AI voice assistant, making it easier to focus and process information.
Speech-to-Text (STT)
Answer questions by speaking naturally. Your voice is transcribed into text for submission.
Enabling Voice
When you start the assessment, you'll be given the option to enable voice features:
Using Voice Input
Once voice is enabled, here's how to answer questions:
Start Recording
Click the microphone button to start recording your answer. The button will turn red to indicate recording is active.
Speak Your Answer
Speak naturally and clearly. Take your time - there's no rush. You'll see "Listening..." while recording is active.
Stop Recording
Click the microphone button again to stop recording. Your speech will be transcribed and appear in the text area.
Review and Submit
Review the transcribed text and edit if needed. Then click "Submit Answer" to proceed.

You have full control over the audio experience:
Mute/Unmute
Toggle question audio on/off anytime
Replay Question
Click to hear the question again
Tips for Best Results
- • Quiet environment - Background noise can affect transcription accuracy
- • Speak clearly - Normal conversation pace works best
- • Use a good microphone - Built-in mics work, but headsets are better
- • Wait for the prompt - Let the question finish before responding
- • Review transcriptions - Always check the text before submitting
Troubleshooting
Microphone not working?
- • Check browser permissions (click the lock icon in the address bar)
- • Ensure your microphone is connected and selected as the default device
- • Try refreshing the page and re-enabling voice
Poor transcription accuracy?
- • Move to a quieter location
- • Speak more slowly and clearly
- • Position your microphone closer
- • You can always edit the transcription or type your answer instead
No audio playback?
- • Check your device volume
- • Make sure you're not on mute
- • Try a different browser (Chrome works best)
Voice Not Working?
Don't worry! You can always complete the assessment using text input. Simply type your answers in the text area provided. The assessment experience is identical regardless of input method.
