Workflow Analysis

Analyzing Workflows

Learn how to run AI analysis on your workflows and interpret the results to identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities.

Running Analysis

Once you've created a workflow, running analysis is simple:

1

Ensure workflow is complete

Make sure all nodes have descriptions and are properly connected

2

Click "Analyze" button

Found in the toolbar at the top of the canvas

3

Wait for AI processing

Analysis typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on complexity

4

Review results

Bottlenecks and opportunities appear on the analyzed workflow

Analyze Button

Click to run AI analysis on your workflow

Understanding Bottlenecks

After analysis, nodes with identified bottlenecks will be highlighted. Bottlenecks are categorized by type:

Time

Steps that cause delays or take too long

Resource

Staffing or capacity constraints

Process

Inefficient procedures or workarounds

Communication

Handoff or information flow issues

Decision

Unclear criteria or approval delays

Quality

Rework or error-prone steps

Technology

System limitations or manual workarounds

Viewing Node Details

Click on any node to see detailed analysis information:

Bottlenecks Detected

Shows how many bottlenecks were found at this step and their categories.

AI Opportunities

Recommendations for how AI could automate or enhance this step.

AI Primitive

Which of the 6 AI primitives applies to this automation opportunity.

Analysis Status

Workflows show their analysis status in the header and list view:

Analyzed
Workflow has been analyzed - results are available
Not Analyzed
Workflow hasn't been analyzed yet

Re-analyzing Workflows

When to Re-analyze

  • • After making significant changes to node descriptions
  • • After adding or removing nodes
  • • After restructuring the workflow flow
  • • When you want fresh insights on the same workflow

Simply click the "Analyze" button again to run a new analysis. Previous results will be replaced with the new analysis.

Tips for Better Analysis

  • Detailed descriptions - The more detail you provide, the better the analysis
  • Include pain points - Mention known issues in your descriptions
  • Note time spent - Indicate how long each step typically takes
  • Identify manual tasks - Highlight tasks done by hand that could be automated
